That’s a -1 in Field presence alone, and I don’t feel this guy is anywhere near good enough to warrant giving up two Monsters to revive. Given the semi-difficulty in bringing this out, to give up TWO MORE Synchro Monsters just to bring it back seems redundant. The second allows you to bring this card back from your Grave, during your opponent’s Turn, no less, by Tributing 2 Synchro Monsters you control. This guy likely doesn’t need that protection, and if your opponent has more than one Monster out and you’re trying to protect something WEAK, than it may not do you much good at all. Two Once per Turn Effects are also attached, the first being you can negate one of your opponent’s attacks, which is good, though may be useless at times. A bit specific on this, and a downer it ONLY covers the Monster side of Effects, but it’s still protection, and Quick at that. A Quick Effect lets you remove a Tuner from your Grave from play to negate a Monster Effect that Targets a Monster(s) you control, and destroy said card, if successful. EX (How Pokemon sounding is that) is a Level 10 Synchro, of the Wind/Dragon pairing, with 3300 atk and 2500 def (this all looks so familiar) who needs a Tuner Synchro and a non Tuner Synchro specifically to be brought out. It can work for T.G.Īrt: 5/5 Shooting Star Dragon becomes a mecha and I love it. I do wish this was better, but I won’t say it’s completely terrible. archetype to go alongside Blade Blaster, which is fine I guess. The purpose of this might just be to serve as another Accel Synchro for the T.G. ![]() Honestly the original Shooting Star Dragon might be better, though it’s less generic since you have to use Stardust Dragon. That’s honestly pretty costly considering what you put in to summon it to begin with. Second effect triggers on the opponent’s turn while it’s in the graveyard, letting you tribute 2 Synchros to revive it. You don’t really need attack negation on a 3300 body, but at least it protects other monsters at the very least. Remaining effects are a hard once per turn each, first one negating an opponent’s attack when they declare one. Banishing Tuners should be no issue assuming you got at least 3 in the grave to make the 2 Synchros you needed to summon this, with one of those Synchros of course being a Tuner itself. ![]() It’s pretty specific, but targeting protection in any sort is better than none at least. When a monster effect is activate that targets a monster(s) you control, you get a Quick Effect to banish a Tuner from your graveyard to negate the activation and destroy that card. Summoning rerquirements are any Tuner Synchro and non-Tuner Synchro(s), so technically generic if you’re spamming Synchros already. Great stats to have in general, WIND might not be great, but Dragon at least is. is a Level 10 WIND Dragon Synchro with 3300 ATK and 2500 DEF. Last year when we covered Red Supernova Dragon, we kinda skipped over this card, so we’re coming back to look at Shooting Star Dragon T.G.

![]() Either way, it's a well crafted, fun and cool game to pass some time. It goes a bit overboard with its concept, and loses a lot of realism which is a bit off-putting. However, the game focuses a lot on over-the-top and, "funny" diseases like mad clown disease. Its presentation is cute, the music surprisingly catchy. The game is nothing unique or impactful, but loads of fun that will give you value, although might become a bit repetitive after a while. Build your hospital, cure diseases, manage your staff and unlock an array of hospitals throughout multiple years as you work your way up to be a brilliant organization. ![]() It's what you would expect from the type of game. Two Point Hospital is a quirky entry into the sim genre, that's a spiritual successor to Theme Hospital. Not that nostalgia isn't a good thing I suppose, but reviews should not be influenced by that as well as hype. I think anyone who gives it a 9 or 10 is probably just biased because they loved playing Theme Hospital in the past. It is a sim that's nowhere near as complex as a game like The Sims. In any case, I think a good amount of fun can be had with this game, but I don't think it deserves anything higher than an 8. This was hugely unfair and didn't follow common sense. For example, even when you have plenty of vending machines installed to fulfill a person's need for hunger, they might never use them and just starve themselves to dissatisfaction, causing you to lose that patient for no justifiable reason. Also, there is a serious bug where you can't meet the needs of patients even when you've met them. you can spam paintings to meet the attractiveness need). The reason why I didn't give this game an 8 is because some features in the game are basically ignored like setting the prices to things and customizing rooms, and because some mechanics can be abused to fulfill certain objectives without any sense of aesthetic or logic (i.e. There is a lot of micromanaging involved so that everyone is equally satisfied. As you progress further into the game, more elements are introduced to make the game more varied, and the objectives get harder to fulfill in order to beat the map. There isn't a lot of variation with what you do besides making sure that both your patients and your staff are happy and healthy. ![]() It's more of a need fulfillment simulator than a tycoon sim. The game is pretty interesting and keeps you interested for quite some time, but it heavily lacks variety so you'll only be able to play it in bursts. I've played all sorts of sim games, so naturally I was interested in Two Point Hospital as well. I have never played Theme Hospital before, so I missed out on the fun that most people say they had when they played the prequel to this game. Essentially both fighters are simply trying to turn into each other, forcing both planes to move in a serpentine motion. The scissors is a natural 'dance' that occurs between fighters. The split-S is often used to disengage from a fight, the quick change of direction can throw off a pursuer, and it can be discouraging for an enemy to follow you into a chase at lower altitude where he himself may become an easy target for the disengaging fighter's wingmates. Just like the Immelmann the split S can be turned into whichever direction desired. It can be used if your airspeed is dangerously low for any other type of turn. The split-S is the inverse of the Immelmann turn, a vertical turn going downwards. In an Immelmann turn speed is traded for altitude which can be reconverted back into speed if so desired. ![]() It can also however be used to turn into any direction desired by rolling into the desired direction during the pull-up.Ī normal flat turn simply bleeds energy to drag and you end up at the same altitude and usually a lower speed. In it's most basic form the pilot pulls up until he's upside down, then rolls to un-invert the plane. The Immelmann turn is an upwards vertical turn. ![]() The barrel roll which rolls into the opposite direction your opponent is turning into allows for a more roundabout but overall tighter turn without needing to sacrifice the speed you've built up. When you are at a higher speed it's difficult to tail a slower aircraft in a turn. The barrel roll can be used to slow down your movement relative to a slower bandit. ![]() To contribute to Twin Mirror's slowness in terms of mechanics, there are also the dialogues with the various characters in Basswood. While this mechanic seems fun at first, it doesn't take long before it starts to bore: the fact that Sam is forced to track down all possible clues in a crime scene to be able to formulate his hypothesis and give his interpretation of what happened (although, most of the time, the solution of the enigma is quite evident), makes the experience slow and cumbersome in some way. In order to be able to elaborate possible hypotheses, Sam carries out an inspection in search of clues and possible connections once all the possible proofs have been found, he can begin to formulate theories to give a possible reconstruction of the facts. Thanks to his impressive ability to remember details and his extraordinary analytical mind, Sam is able to rework crucial information to solve some puzzles, accessing a sort of mental database containing all his memories and the people he met to make deductive evaluations. In the first Life is Strange Max had the ability to rewind time, for example, here Sam has a superpower called "Mind Palace". There are two aspects that the various Dontnod games have in common: one is the exploratory/investigative component and the other, which usually acts as a mechanic or as a consequence of the latter, is the presence of a supernatural power that distinguishes the protagonist. The return to the city reopens some old wounds and Sam, accompanied by his Double (a mysterious and inner figure who only Sam can see), tries to shed light not only on Nick's alleged murder, but also on his "inner self", with whom he has always been in deep conflict. ![]() Meanwhile, returning to Basswood, Sam is forced to deal with his past: former miners who don't like his presence, old friends who don't seem so keen to see him again, and Anna, a woman who has been very important in his life. The circumstances surrounding the incident are mysterious and this is how Sam - persuaded by Joan, his goddaughter and Nick's daughter - decides to investigate, to shed light on its causes and understand if it was just a tragedy or a murder. He's forced to come back to town to attend Nick's wake, his best friend and colleague, who died in a car accident. Sam is a former investigative journalist who moved away from his hometown following an investigation into the local mine, which led to its closure, and a series of painful personal vicissitudes. ![]() Set in Basswood, a former mining town in West Virginia. ![]() But is it still capable of winning over players just like its predecessors? Twin Mirror represents an exception within the path taken by Dontnod: while keeping intact some common characters with the games that preceded it, this game proves to be a watershed, a new direction for the studio. In recent years, Dontnod Entertainment has distinguished itself within this specific scenario, giving life to several games in that genre.įrom Remember Me to Life is Strange games up to, last but not least, Tell me why and Twin Mirror (of which we speak today), the French studio has shown that it has great narrative skills, mixing everything with a simple, but effective gameplay. Products like graphic adventure games, which have existed since video games have seen the light for the very first time, have endured for decades, reinventing themselves and offering new ways to tell compelling stories. Even if we've accessed a new generation of consoles with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S | X (and, consequently, also next-gen games) just a few weeks ago, it's still extremely important to maintain some cornerstones that keep us anchored to the past. Therefore, redeem them now and get the benefit of it.
There are worse found-footage movies out there, but The Marked Ones is definitely one you can skip over. You just want these stupid jump scares to stop so you can go about your life not watching this movie. Near the end I was just waiting for it to be over because you know there's not going to be any explanation or any depth to the story at that point. It just got really uninteresting really fast. I won't say it's terrible because I didn't hate myself watching it. It basically went from being an intriguing murder mystery to a generic possession movie. And that's how the entire third act feels: rushed and lazy. Let's just make a bunch of supernatural crap happen to these characters we developed and wrap this up as quickly as possible". It's like halfway through the movie the filmmakers were like "oh crap, this has to be a Paranormal Activity movie. Easy jump scares, stupid mythology that isn't even explained and makes no sense, people running around from room to room with no suspense. I liked the characters, I thought the filmmakers were doing something interesting and fresh, there are some comedic bits thrown around, it was just enjoyable to watch. The first 30 or so minutes I was invested in the movie. ![]() It's the same premise though - found-footage, teenagers, ghosts, demons, and what have you. I've only seen the first Paranormal Activity so I'm reviewing this as a standalone movie, even though it's actually a spin off or whatever. ![]() The Photo Recovery is something many people would like, though a little gimmicky for me. This might be one of the least used features of the suite, so I will skip to the next. This is more for the times when you are writing a disc and maybe the lights go out or the drive fails, it will let you recover that sort of data, it will not let you restore physically broken discs that your disc drive cannot read, I don’t know why but I tried it, magic did not happen. This was made on a 1 X CD-R drive, it was either a TDK or a Maxell drive, and man it was slow. Though it still worked, supposedly CD’s were supposed to have lost data after many years, I got 17 years so far and it’s still working. I wanted to try my very first CD written, a Maxell 650Meg CD back in 1998. Then you are met with the menu of features it providesĭrive Recovery, as implied lets you recover entire drive, my needed option currently, but I will come back to this.įor “CD DVD Recovery” right when you pop in a piece of media it starts scanning the disc No confusing prompts, though some asking for where you would like the shortcuts placed, but I just click Next anyway then Finish.Īfter clicking Finish, the program starts loading I looked for different pieces of software, making sure that the first time was the successful one that would return what was rightfully mine, and not have any failed attempts, so I came across Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery.Ĭlicking on the EXE, you get all the Next prompts and I agree prompts you would normally expect.Ī few seconds later and you are done. This drive held so many wonders and years of work and now it was all gone… It’s OK we can rebuild it, bigger, better and faster, well maybe not faster but you get the point. I had 99.1Gigs of very important data, documents, overclocks, reviews builds, personal keys, photo’s, video’s, ISO’s and more, There is more than 1 test done here, but I wanted to give you an example. Tons of data all gone in one mistaken click (well, it might have been 2 or 3 clicks, but still). The reason I am actually reviewing this is because during the video where I installing Windows 10 from, I wiped out one of my drives and killed my data, it was only a 64Gig SSD, but I had 51.5 gigs on it of information I was not ready to get rid of, I deleted the partition. Email Recovery (Outlook Express and MS Outlook).External, SD card, USB, Firewire, Thunderbolt, eSATA, etc…).Lost/Formatted/Deleted Volume/Partition/File Recovery.Recovery solutions usually only recovery drives, nothing more. Some of you are reading the “Windows” part in the title but you will be surprised to know that you can restore data from Windows (XP all the way to 10), Linux, UNIX and Mac systems but there is a catch, you can read about the catch later in this article. This software will help you during these times because you never know when it will happen to you, if it hasn’t already. From that PC to my current PC I have deleted TONS of files, some on purpose too but I have lost so many files as well, sometimes entire partitions. I have been using computers since I was 13 years old on my IBM XT 8086, yup no hard drive just 2 x 5.25’ floppy drives. YouTube Music's automation makes saving songs for offline play much less of a headache so you have more time to focus on doing things you actually want to. It works much the same with Apple Music, but you'll have to be an active participant in the process the whole time. Instead, you've got to mark which songs you'd like saved and then toggle a button to the "on" position while on the track's individual page to save it for offline listening. Spotify has a similar feature, though it won't simply download your favorite songs automatically. You can still try out Offline Mixtape if you're keen on letting YouTube create a playlist for you. Smart Downloads is an expanded version of an older feature called Offline Mixtape, which basically performed the same function, but also included songs that happened to fit similar genre preferences in your "liked" songs. You can set how many songs you'd like to be downloaded to your device. The downloads will take place only while you're connected to Wi-Fi and will be scheduled overnight to help conserve time and battery life as well. If you activate Smart Downloads on Android devices (it's yet to be confirmed if iOS devices will be compatible), YouTube Music will select up to 500 songs and make them available offline. Using this new feature, you'll be able to conserve data and collect your go-to playlists in one place for listening later while you're "off the grid." ![]() But you may not have known about a new feature coming to YouTube Music that's meant to make downloading your favorite tunes for offline listening a breeze. If you're a music fan who relies on streaming services to listen to your favorite songs instead of purchasing them individually, you likely already know about all the features Spotify and Apple Music have on offer. |
